Joe Lins
President of Century 21 Discovery

 

Joe is the President of Century 21 Discovery. He has been involved in Real Estate since 1977. Joe started at Walker Lee Realty and won the coveted Agent of Year award prior to moving to Coldwell Banker. He worked at Coldwell as an agent and as sales manager until joining forces with John Shipley in an effort to make Discovery the premier real estate office in North Orange County.

Besides running the Discovery office, Joe is heavily involved with the Southern California real estate community. He regularly teaches the ethics class for the Pacific West Association of Realtors (PWR) at the new agent orientation as well as many of the continuing education classes required for real estate licensees. As a serving member of the PWR grievance committee, Mr. Lins is one of the people to whom problems regarding ethical agent behavior are brought. He hopes that by trying to inform other agents about what is considered proper Realtor conduct, he is doing his part to not only give the industry a better name but also make it a better and more professional place to work. Joe practices what he preaches within his own office and attributes this in part to the long standing and continued success of C-21 Discovery.

Aside from real estate, Joe is as active as a person could be within the local community. So much so that he won Fullerton’s “Man Of The Year” award in 2003. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for St. Jude Hospital and Crittenton Services, is a member of both the Fullerton Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. Joe also regularly supports and even hosts numerous charitable events and fundraisers for causes like Crittenton Family & Children’s Services, Donate Life, the Fullerton School District, Cal State Fullerton, The Boys and Girls Club, Laguna Road Elementary School, and St. Jude Medical Center.

When asked what makes the difference between great agents and mediocre agents, Joe responds that communication skills, empathy, responsiveness, and a customer service attitude are very important but an impeccable attention to detail and is what really distinguishes the true professional from the rest. Joe states that he would like to see the entire industry step it up a notch with regards to their professionalism. He says that this is what the public really wants from their agents, not discount prices accompanied by discounted customer service.

Joe enjoys spending his spare time with wife Suzy and their three children; Stephanie, Jeremy and Casey. The whole family enjoys traveling, especially to Canada where they enjoy the escape from the hustle and bustle of Southern California real estate.
