Nadine is the office manager at Century 21 Discovery. She is the person responsible for managing Discovery’s finances and making sure that the office is in compliance with all Department of Real Estate (DRE) regulations. Nadine is meticulous in making sure that all the necessary paperwork involved in a transaction is complete and on file within the office. She has an excellent track record of compliance with the DRE that is made even more astounding considering the large volume of real estate transactions that our office services.
To the agents, she is most recognized as the person responsible for cutting them (or sometimes not cutting them) a paycheck. It is Discovery policy to not cut final paychecks until all of the required paperwork involved in our client’s transaction is completed. This assures clients that all details will be finalized and their interests protected. As harsh as it may seem to some agents, a system like this will not allow them to slack off once they get their money. As Nadine says, “Sometimes we have to show tough love because we want our agents to do the best for their clients. No paperwork, No paycheck, No exceptions.”
Nadine has been with Century 21 Discovery since 1991 and does hold a California Real Estate License. Her husband, David Musgrove, is licensed as well. As of January 2006, she has brought yet another member of the family, her grandson, to the Discovery team and they are ecstatic to have yet another determined real estate professional added to their roster.
In her spare time, Nadine enjoys recreational snow skiing. She comments on the similarity between real estate and snow skiing by noting, “You spend most of your time and energy trying to move uphill for those few minutes you really enjoy coming down the mountain. But if you can’t learn to enjoy both the ups and downs, it’s going to be a long cold ride!”
